Here is some info on our adoption process if you should decide to adopt.
- We will need to collect the adoption fee before you may take the cat/kitten home. You can use Paypal to pay the adoption fee. Our PayPal account is email@example.com – please use the “send money to friends and family” option so no fees are incurred. The adoption fee is listed on the cat/kitten’s profile and includes the 1st set of kitten vaccines, dewormer, spay/neuter (when the kitten is 4-6 months old) and microchip to be inserted by Spay Today at spay/neuter appointment.
- if the animal is not already spayed/neutered we also collect a $100 spay/neuter deposit check to ensure the kitten is spayed/neutered by 6 months of age. The spay/neuter deposit check should be payable to Circle 2 Rescue. This check is not cashed! It is held until the kitten is spayed/neutered. Once you provide proof of the spay/neuter we will destroy the check. You can bring the check to the meet and greet and give it to the foster parent should you adopt. The adoption fee and spay/neuter deposit check must be in place prior to you taking the kitten home.
- The spay/neuter cost is covered only if you use our veterinarian, Spay Today Neuter Now in Lakewood. You will be responsible for calling Spay Today Neuter Now to make the spay/neuter appointment. Please plan ahead as they are booked 3-4 weeks out. They also have Saturday appointments. You can make an appointment by phone – (303) 984-7729 – or on their website: https://spay2day.org/
- Spay Today will insert one of our microchips during the spay/neuter surgery. You will need to go to www.foundanimals.org. to register the microchip with the new name/address etc.
