Adopting a new family member is a big decision. At Circle 2 Rescue, our heart is in making the very best match for you and for the pet who is counting on us. The first step is to complete our online application at cat application
We ask that you answer the questions openly and thoughtfully. Your honesty helps us understand your home, your lifestyle, and what you’re hoping for, so we can guide you toward a dog or cat who will truly flourish with you. That’s how we create the happy, lifelong matches we all want.
We strive to respond to each application within 24 to 48 hours. We all have full time jobs, families and pets of our own to care for so when that is not possible, we ask for your understanding and patience.
Although we do our very best to provide detailed and helpful profiles, no one knows our pets better than their foster families. They’ll be able to share the little things — the quirks, the routines, the personality — and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and learn more. From there, we’ll decide together whether setting up a meet-and-greet feels like the right next step.
Here is some additional info on our adoption process.
After completing the application on the website a volunteer will reach out to you. cat application
- A volunteer or foster parent will contact you to tell you more about the pet you are interested in and answer any questions you may have. We may request pictures of your living room, kitchen, fence and your other pets. A home visit may be scheduled.
- The adoption fee for each animal is listed on their website profile. The adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormer. All of our pets are spayed and neutered as we are committed to curbing the pet overpopulation problem and this is the only way to do so.
- If together we decide that the pet sounds like a good match for you a meet and greet will be arranged. Sometimes it is ok for the pet to go home with the applicant at the meet and greet. Other times we may need more information or time. Or you may want additional time to consider the adoption. We want everyone to feel comfortable that it is a good match.
- We will need to collect the adoption fee before you may take the pet home. Our preferred payment method is Venmo. Our Venmo account is @Circle-Rescue-1 and the 4 digit code is 3750. Here is a link: https://venmo.com/Circle-Rescue-1.
You may also use Paypal. Our PayPal account is circle2rescue@yahoo.com. Please use the “friends and family” option so no fees are incurred. - You must complete the adoption contract before taking the pet home. Here is a link: Adoption Contract. It has some of the same questions as the application but the contract finalizes the adoption.
- Once the adoption is finalized you will receive an email with a link to the medical records. Please make sure you retain a copy for your records. We can also provide a hard copy. We can not provide the records again if you lose them.
- Our pets are microchipped and the number is on the records. To update the chip with your information please go to https://www.petlink.net/.
- If you are adopting a kitten please remember that they need to have a Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia (FVRCP)booster vaccination every 3-4 weeks until they have received a series of 3 vaccinations or are 4 months of age. They will also need a rabies vaccination around 4 months of age or when your vet recommends it. You are responsible for making sure your new pet receives these booster shots! Vaccinations after the date of adoption are NOT included in the adoption fee.
