One of our greatest needs is reliable, caring foster homes.

Please consider saving an animal in need by opening your home.

Fostering truly is the lifeline of rescue — it’s the reason we are able to say “yes” when an animal has nowhere else to go. As an entirely foster-based organization, Circle 2 Rescue has no shelter or backup facility, which means every single life we save begins with a person opening their home and their heart.

Without foster homes, we simply cannot help the dogs who are waiting in overcrowded shelters, living in unsafe conditions, or facing medical or emotional challenges. Each foster home creates space for the next animal in need — it is a direct, powerful chain of lifesaving.

Fostering is also one of the most rewarding and deeply fulfilling experiences in rescue. You get a front-row seat to transformation: the shy dog who learns to trust, the undernourished puppy who discovers toys and soft beds, the senior who finally relaxes and feels safe. There is nothing like watching a dog decompress and blossom because of the love and stability you provided.

And you are never doing this alone.

We will:

  • Partner with you every step of the way with an experienced Circle 2 Rescue volunteer for guidance, support, and answers to any questions.

  • Value your voice and your insight — you know your foster dog better than anyone, and we rely on your observations to help choose the very best adoptive home.

  • Include you in the placement process, because your input helps ensure a lasting, successful match where the dog will truly thrive.

Because we are a small, dedicated rescue, you will never get lost in the cracks. You are a vital, appreciated, and visible part of our team and of every success story we celebrate.

Most importantly, fostering saves lives in a way few other things can. It turns compassion into action. It gives a dog a second chance. And it changes your life too — in the most beautiful, meaningful way.

Fostering Process

Step 1

Please complete an online foster application.

Step 2

A volunteer will contact you to discuss your application and see if we have a dog or cat that fits with your situation.

Step 3

You will be responsible for picking up the dog at a central location when it is transported to Denver.

Step 4

Many times the dog will need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated.  We typically ask the foster to arrange a vet appointment with our approved vet. It is important that you obtain permission before taking an animal to the vet and that you only use our approved vet(s).  If you do not follow these guidelines, the vet care costs will not be covered.

Thank YOU for helping us rescue these deserving pets!

We couldn’t do it without you!
